Dave Huggett has been in Triathlons since the 80s, racing all over Australia, and has had many podium finishes over the years.

David's whole family is involved in the triathlon scene. David and his wife Sue help run the Ballarat Triathlon club. Son Jamie is a member of the VIS (Victoria Institute of Sport) and son Ben is a member of the TVDP (Triathlon Victoria Development Program).

Dave Huggett, a level 2 triathlon coach, has had many years experience in developing junior triathletes from the early stages of development through to the junior elite, competing on both national and international stages.

He has had numerous junior triathletes take podium positions in all levels of racing including local, state, national and international events.

Dave is also assistant coach to the Triathlon Victoria Development Program ( TVDP ) and home coach to the Victorian Institute of Sport ( VIS ).

For the 2010-11 tri season SXT will have juniors competing in Schools Nationals,Queensland ,ITU junior elite ,National series in Queensland, Tasmania, New South Wales and Victoria , We also will have athletes competing in local,state and interstate events ranging from Junior to age group from novice to elite in races such as Noosa ,Moolabah, Geelong 70.3 and the iconic Gatorade series in Melbourne .

We have Junior triathletes in the VIS the Triathlon Victoria Development Program and the Triathlon Victoria High performance program. Southern X Triathlete has now been accredited by Triathlon Victoria as a Triathlon Victoria Development program ( TVDP ) and High Performance ( TVHP) satellite region

Southern X Triathlete is now catering for all triathletes, whether you are beginner, age grouper, junior or elite ,Sprint to Olympic and 1/2 ironman distance So we really think we have the winning formula for the junior triathlete, age grouper or novice.
