Hi All

Firstly a apology for the slow updating of the web site as of late, it has really been a busy few months, but i can assure you everything is well in place for assault on the 2011-12 Triathlon season

I have just recently been appointed Triathlon Victoria's development program manager "TVDP",this position involves looking after the development of Victoria's brightest juniors in the progress to become ITU Junior triathletes. This position which takes considerable planning to obtain the outcomes required was only made possible with the help of my wife Sue who has a strong administration background and the in depth knowledge of the ITU Junior H/P pathway.

Now with this said i can assure you my main drive is my own squad SouthernXtriathlete with the planning of SXT 2011-12 well on its way to become bigger better stronger than last year.

SXT has again secured support from our major sponsor "Brimarco". Brimarco"s support and that of our other sponsors RG Smith Insurance Brokers ,Hocking Stuart Real Estate and FUWA K-HITCH make it possible to purchase equipment, uniforms and a squad marquee which will be used at major events. And we haven't forgotten Anth , Dave and the team at CBD Cycles for their on the day bike support, Super Sprint, the event management team who run Australia's, biggest Triathlon series ,The "Melbourne Gatorade Triathlon Series". Adidas eyewear for you continued supply to our athletes of the best sports eyewear available, thanks Chann and Brent.

Ventou , have now come on board as our SXT uniform supplier. Ventou are the manufacturers and suppliers of sporting apparel and will be supplying out team with Triathlon race suits and bike gear, Thank you to all our supporters for their continued support for the 2011-12 season.

SXT Squad Training Day, Sat 21.

Saturday May 21 was the first full group testing and training session for the 2011-12 Tri season. SXT and TVDP hotspot athletes came from all regions in Victoria to be involved in the days rpogram which involved a morning session on the track with a 5km Time trial, and a afternoon swim set.

With the Ballaart weather showing its true form of a sunny warm morning, athletes gathered at the Lanberis reserve where they warmed up and prepared for the 5 km Time Trial. As the start gun went off the wind seemed to pick up quite a bit making the run just that harder working up the back straight, most athletes found the going tough especially the first time trial after the six week lay-off. The results were as suspected with a few good times but most needing a few more months to get back to true form. But the day was more about where each individual athletes form is and what needs to be done within their training programs, the information gathered through monitoring time and distance splits, heart rates and stride rates will go along way in in perfecting the individuals training programs.

After the morning run session the squad headed to the Ballarat Uni pool for a swim and core strength session with our swim coach Chris Brown. While the swim session was mainly aerobic based the core strength conditioning between sets seemed to push most athletes. After the conclusion of the first hour the swim session turned to swim analysis via the Ballarat Uni underwater viewing chambers, All athletes wre filmed swimming via two position front and side ,this video footage will now be analyzed and feedback given back to each individual athlete on how the can improve on their swim stroke technique .It is hopped athletes will work hard on this aspect of their swim stroke and a improvement noted when we redo swim analysis again in a months time .

Overall the day was a huge success with twenty athletes atending and some important data gathered which will be utilized in our training programs for the benefit of all our squad ,coaches and athletes alike.

Swim analysis footage should be out shortly stay tuned.

2011-12 Tri Season Starts Now !

The 2011-12 Triathlon season has now started with the first phase of training starting in the first week of May.

After a six week lay-off SXT began training again in the build up for the 2011-12 race season some four months away .Monday 2nd of May saw the first official training session with Chris Brown taking the swim set at the Ballarat uni Pool, the 6am start may take a week or two to get used to after the week day sleep inns!
Tuesday saw the group meet at Lake Wendouree for a easy 60 min run which all got through quite comfortably with a few trying to push the pace, probably a little to hard. As coach of the squad one of the hardest things to do is hold every one back in this Base building period, so many many feel great after the rest period and push the pace to much leading to injury so early in the season.

The coaching crew at SXT has put considerable time and effort into the planning of the upcoming season with the first major change is regular vo2 and lactate testing for athletes, particular in the ITU Junior and elite category .Regular Video swim analysis, stroke correction and feedback will also be done . This sort of testing, usually only available to elite athletes, has been made available to us through the Ballarat Uni, sports science division.
Testing of athletes at regular intervals throughout the season will give us, the coaches, a in depth view of how our athletes are progressing and what training alternatives if any, need to be adopted.

The first ,of many ,full squad training and testing session, including all Tri-Vic hotspot athletes, will be on Saturday May 21 at the Ballarat Uni Pool.

The 2011-12 season sees several new Junior members join the squad ,Laura Butler comes to us after several years competing in school triathlons and is now taking the next step to ITU Junior, Liam Frye ,who had a brief run with the squad late last season also hopes to make the next step towards ITU Junior.

Age groupers Chris Moors and Jacinta Jamison who also had brief runs with the squad last season last season and seen great progress will star in the like up for next season.

Squad members Sarah Bone and Josh Dew who both seem to improve every time the head out to train ,have both qualified for the Australian Triathlon team to compete at world championships to be held in Bejing China on September 9-11. congratulations guys!!

With the season just starting there is still time to get started ,just give us a call to see how easy it is to get started.

Hi all

With all but one race to go for the season ,Schools Nationals in Redcliffe,Queensland the preparation has already begun for Triathlon season 2011-12.

While most Southern X Triathletes take a well earned break, the foundation is already being laid for next triathlon season.
The first major change is regular vo2 and lactate testing for athletes, particular in the ITU Junior and elite category.

A special thank you to the Ballarat University for there assistance and support in the testing of our athletes.
With more group training days video analysis of our swim squad and a training camp in the pipe line next season looks like being another success.

I would like to acknowledge the support of our sponsors for the 2010-11 season and hope to cement our relationship with them again for the following season.

BRIMARCO, where would we be without them ? Thank you James of BRIMARCO for your continued support with our squad and our junior race BRIMARCO kids triathlon.

Adidas eyewear for you continued supply to our athletes of the best sports eyewear available, thanks Chann and Brent.

And a special thanks to Anth , Dave and the team at CBD Cycles for their on the day bike support and supplying race wheels for the day, without which we would not have achieved such great results in 2010-11.
Super Sprint, the event management team who run Australia's, biggest Triathlon series ,The "Melbourne Gatorade Triathlon Series".

Thanks to all who have supported us ,without your support our squad "SXT" would not be the squad it is today .

Race 5, Brighton.

On Sunday March 27th 2011 a small contingent of triathletes ventured to Brighton for the last of the XOSize series races. It was a smaller field of 411 athletes competing as a result of a number of Elite senior athletes competing in Mooloolaba and a number of Elite juniors saving themselves for the upcoming National Schools triathlon. Despite this we had a few standout performances including podium finishes.

In the Elite Male section Josh Dew exited the water in second place overall with Nick Brown not far behind. The bike leg was initially strung out before they all came together on the second lap. Despite entering the compound together, Nick made a faster transition from bike to run which turned out to be a telling difference in the end with Nick posting a 3rd in the Elite Junior category (5th Elite overall) just ahead of Josh in 6th place overall (3rd in the Elite Senior category). Both these athletes posted their best 5km run times for the season of 16:55 and 16:49 respectively.

In the Elite Female category a seriously depleted field of 6 athletes meant that many of them had to work hard on their own during the bike leg. Our solo entrant Melissa Burgoyne rode gallantly to try to bridge the gap and battled stomach problems during the run to finish 4th in the Elite Senior Female category.

Chris Moors did very well in the 35-39 age group finishing 22nd out of a field of 45 in his age group. Chris has made rapid improvements after taking up the sport very late in the season and is looking forward to big base for next season.

On the comeback trail following injury it was good to see Zoe Osborn compete in the Mini triathlon. Zoe blitzed the field to finish first in the F 14-15 category and is looking forward to getting back into it.

Cheers Chris Brown

Vic Sprint Champs Sandringham and Gatorade Triathlon Series Race 5, Elwood .

The Victorian sprint championships was held in Sandringham on Sunday February 27 in less than perfect conditions.this race also was a qualifier for the world Championships to be held in Beijing later in the year.
The rain never stopped from the time we arrived but the wet weather made for some interesting racing especially on the bike were the slippery conditions kept all on there toes.

There was some great results for our squad with Georgie Connor running side by side with her rival to claim a second overall . Ben Huggett also taking out 6th spot overall and second in the junior elite div,

While in the age group 25-29 division Josh Dew looks like he is on his way to Beijing with a 3rd while Jarrod boyd came in 5th ,Fraser Walsh kept up his form with a 5 spot in the 16-19 div.

Sunday 6th March ,race 5 of the Gatorade series was held in near perfect conditions in Elwood, a sharp contrast from the week before .

With Ben and Georgie resting up to race Wellington New Zealand next week Nick Brown took up the challenge in the junior elite div for the SXT squad , Nick did not disappoint with a bronze medal narrowly missing out on the silver compliments of a sprint finnish.Josh Dew was once again up there in the mix as well.

Newcomers to the squad Liam Frye,Sarah Bone, Sarah Darwish and Chris Moors all raced well Sarah Bone having a 3minute pB on the course while Sarah Darwish in her first ever triathlon conquered the 750 meter Swim 20km Bike and 5 km run with no problem at all, Chris Moors in his first season in Triathlon finished the race in respectable 1 hour 13 min's ,well done, and Liam Frye raced his first race with the squad showing he has the potential to go a lot further in the next season watch for this guy next year !!

Gav Webber came in 4th and Jarrod Boyd 6th in the 25-29 Div and Nick Valpied had had one of his best races of the season beating home many of his fellow squad members ,others to do well was Rob Smart and Brad Slade who always put a good race together .

As you can see the squad is growing bigger and more successful by the day, the support of our sponsors has made Triathlon more accessible to more athletes and now catering for every one elite to age group .

Thanks again to CBD cycles who kept us going on the day and especially Brimarco who have really put in the heart that drives the squad .

One element of triathlons is to have competitors who are fit and highly motivated but the other key factor is to have gear that lets you achieve your potential. The SXT group is fortunate to have fantastic sponsors. Special thanks to our supporting sponsor BRIMARCO and a special thanks to Anth , Dave and the team at CBD Cycles for their on the day bike support and supplying race wheels for the day, without which we would not have achieved Sunday’s great results. Special mention to adidas eyewear for the top of the line sunnies Hocking Stuart, RGS insurance and Fuwa K Hitch for their support.

Cheers Dave H

Sunday 13 February ,Maryborough Goldfields Reverse Triathlon .

Maryborough Goldfields Reverse triathlon was on again last Sunday 13 February , this annual event has been going many years and took up the reverse triathlon format ,run, ride and swim, in the local 50 meter pool, when water space was at a premium during the drought years.

With the rich prize purse of the Goldfields, over $2000 in total prize pool this was one race the squad was looking forward too . As well as the attractive prize pool the great organization of the local Tri Club and Goldfields council was the format that attracts the triathletes to this unique race.
The race starts with a 4 km run through the streets of Maryborough followed by a tough hilly 24km NON drafting bike ride through the scenic bush terrain of the local country side and back to a 400 meter swim in the outdoor public pool.

The men's and women's open race was the first wave to start , SXT members Ben Huggett, Nick Brown, Josh Dew and Jarrod Boyd all where in the hunt for the cash,as well as Melissa Burgoyne in the women's open division.
The men's and women's fields were soon striped down to the strongest with the fast paced run .Five men were left in the dash for cash our four SXT crew and Geelongs Scotty Mcpherson as they went out onto the bike , Ben Huggett was to strong for the rest of the group gaining valuable minutes to take out the men's event with squad members Nick Brown second and Jarrod Boyd third. Melissa Burgoyne had a tussle from start to finnish with Kirsten Norden from Geelong, the two battled it out all the way to the end with Kirsten just getting over Melissa in the end.Elkie Belcher in her first race since her accident managed to come just behind in third spot.

All our age groupers did exceptionally well with Nick Valpied taking silver just tipping out Brad Slade in 5th while Dave Huggett managed a 2nd spot in his div.
In the short course event new comer to the squad Liam Fryer took the overall honors while junior of the squad Dylan Bilston took home the sliver medal. Overall it was a good day for the SXT squad ,well done to all who competed. Maryborugh Reverse Triathlon Results can be found Here

Next race will be race two of the National Junior series to be held in Geelong on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th of February.

Cheers Dave

Sunday 6 February ,Race 4,Portarlington ,Gatorade series.

Sunday 6 Feburary was race 4 of the Gatorade series held at Portarlington on the Belaraine peninsula in Victoria. Portarlington in its 25th year would have to one of the most popular races on the Victorian race calendar, with the race sold 6 weeks prior.

The bizarre weather we have been having in the last few months kept up its weird ways with about 75mm of rain and storms the days before racing .
The team at super sprint didn't have any choice but to change the race format into a duathlon, changing the swim into a 2km run.
Well you would think we all would be getting used to it by now but with the change of format so does the change in the race . The usual open water swim specialists who get their advantage over the weaker swimmers was gone so the whole dynamics of the race changes with some interesting results.

Gav Webber2nd Portarlington In the men's elite field the strong rider and runner combinations really stood out with some of the usual swim gurus getting left behind before the real racing started.
SXT had 3 males in this event Josh Dew, Ben Huggett, and Nick Brown. All raced considerable well considering the blistering pace on the first run to make even a harder 26 km bike. At the end of the race there was quite a few who faded on the 8 km run but Ben managed to hold on to 3rd position in the ITU junior div with Nick brown just several spots behind.Josh rounding up the top ten.
In the women elite div Melissa Burgoyne and Georgie Connor managed a good first run and both worked tirelessly to keep the bike pack working , Melissa's strong bike bought all girls back into contention with Georgie running a good 8 km split to take 3rd spot in the ITU junior div and Melissa 5th in the women's elite.
In the Age group div Gav Webber, pictured right, was at home with the run bike, run format and smashed the bike in his usual way ,flat out start to finnish , to take a second spot on the podium.
Other notables for the day was Jarrod Boyd, who always puts in a solid performance to take 4th and yours truly, Dave H,5th ,doing it because i still love it while Rob Smart and Nic Valpied also had solid performances. Results can be found at Super Sprint

Thanks again to super sprint for another well managed event Brimarco for keeping the squad together and CBD cycles for again keeping the whole squad not only moving on their bikes but keeping us dry with the use of their tent .

Next race will be next weekend for some of the crew as they head to the small rural town of Mary borough for the annual Goldfields triathlon ,where we hope to see the return of Elkie Belcher who was badly injured in a car accident last year .welcome back Elkie!

Cheers Dave

Sunday 16 Jan ,Race 2, National Junior Series, Devonport, Tasmania / Enduro ,Elwood, Melbourne.

Hi all, firstly sorry for the late report ,every thing is really hectic at the moment with all the racing going on nationally ,domestic and locally.

Devonport Tasmania, was the the venue for race 2 of the National junior series.

The Devonport race committee must have had its hands full from the initial conception to the finish ,as the race was hampered with problems, all of which was out of the control of the race organizers. The venue had to be changed from the life saving club to the Mersey river after works on the lifesaving club went well beyond its completion date.this also changed the race times to be now a day earlier ,now on the Saturday evening instead of the Sunday . Then the rains came ,and come down it did , with heavy flooding up stream and the water quality deemed well below the acceptable standard and with much debris floating down stream the triathlon was now a duathlon . The new format (duathlon) was now 5 km run 20 km bike and a 2.5km run as per ITU rules. Now with the different location, altered start times and now a new race format this was going to put the best of athletes under pressure.

The first race was the girls , Georgie Connor ran a great sub 19 min, 5km to go into T1 just behind the first bike pack, and that is were the race took some bizarre twists. Georgie had a bike mechanical problem and quickly went about rectifying the problem while the rest of the race went on. Georgie continued on after fixing the problem ,finishing the race well behind the leaders . Only to find out that most of the front group of racers had been disqualified due to only completing four of the five laps required on the bike. So Georgie finished fifth overall and gained some valuable points. A lesson for every one here ,never give up.
Next race was the boys , Ben and Nick held there own as the boys put together some awesome 5km run splits which in turn took its toll on the entire men's field .Ben and Nick both suffered with leg cramps but still managed to form a bike pack and finish with some great final run splits . Both finished in the top 20 which was rather good considering the 60 plus field and many pulling out because of cramping.

Results can be found at www.devonporttriathlon.com.au

Sunday 16 January saw many of our SXT squad race at Elwood in a enduro format where the race is doubled but in shorter segments of 2x (250m swim/10km bike/2.5km run) This format seemed to agree with Melissa Burgoyne, 2nd female elite, while Josh Dew was 5th Male elite . In the age group div, Fraser Walsh raced well for a 3rd spot ,securing his spot in the Vic school Team to compete in the Nationals event to be held in Redclife Qld in March. Young Dylan Bilston also had a much improved race to finish well up in the placings. Jarod Boyd kept his series points alive with a time just outside the elites to earn him a silver medal in the 25-29 div .

Racing now heads to Portarlington in the Gatorade series ,this race has been a sold out now for the last few months as this popular race is now in its 25 year. Thanks again to all our supporters and sponsors ,please visit there web site and don't forget to mention SXT when you make a purchase or enquiry. Catch you all soon

Gatorade Race 3 Sandringham.

Gatorade Tri Series ,Enter Here
Race 3 of the Gatorade Triathlon series which also doubles as the Victorian Olympic Distance Championship was run last Sunday in the Melbourne bay side suburb of Sandringham.
Dave Hansen and Super Sprint once again put on a great race showing why Victoria is the premier state for triathlon. With three different race distances on offer, Olympic, Sprint and the active feet fun tri, there was plenty of racing to watch.

Our SXT squad was there once again with some great performances, Georgie Connor winning the women's sprint, Ben Huggett 2nd in the Male sprint with Nick Brown just behind. In the Olympic distance, Elite div, Melissa Burgoyne who swam well but missed the bike pack by seconds making the rest of the day hard work for Mel. Josh Dew on the other hand managed to form a workable relationship with the second bike pack to come home with a great run and a top 10 finish, well done Josh.
In the Age group div, Jarod Boyd had one of the best races of his season to come in fourth with a good swim, followed by a fantastic bike run combination. Other notables from our squad was Nick Valpied and Gav Webber with his sub 60 min 40 km bike and Fraser Walsh in his first Olympic distance race, finishing with a 38 min 10 km to give him 4th .

It was another great day from the SXT squad that would not have been possible without the help from our sponsors. Which leads me to another topic I would like to address.
CBD Cycles was again there on the day, helping out in every way they can, like they have for many years. Anthony and Dave of CBD Cycles have been supporting myself, family and squad since the early days of the sport. Jamie Huggett now Australian U/23 champion, World No 4 U/23 and now with the VIS owes CBD Cycles for helping him out when nobody else believed in his ability to make it to the top. On Sunday I saw Dave and Anthony rushing around all morning repairing bikes with all sorts of miniscule problems. I stopped over and chatted to Anthony telling him what a great job they were doing and how busy they were, Anthony then tells me of how he repaired many bikes that morning, many from sponsored athletes with gear that was not purchased from him but online.
Now don't get me wrong here, Anthony has no problems with the online market and suports a competitve market, but he would like to see athletes, especially the ones he supports, give him a call and tell him hey, Anth!!! I can get this part for $$ can you help me out here!! That's all he asks, not much you would think, but we all do it, me included, straight online and hit the purchase button without a second thought . Well I can tell you now if we don't pause for a moment and say I am going to give CBD Cycles a call, there will be no CBD, we the triathlete are slowly destroying the very people who have helped us from the early beginnings. So next time you go to the purchase button, think twice, give the boys a call at CBD and see what they can do, maybe they cannot beat that great deal online, maybe you have to pay an extra dollar or two, but remember the next time you are at that race and you need that tyre changed, gears fixed or that cassette changed, will they be there??? who knows its up to you!! But the online people wont be there fixing your bike.
Anyhow that's my rant.

Next race for the SXT ITU Junior squad will be Race 2 of the National Junior series in Devonport Saturday 15th, the rest of the squad will be at Echuca and Elwood Sunday 16th.
Results for Gatorade, Sandringham can be found Here.
Good luck to all who is racing

NTID Super Sprint Race Weekend, Runaway Bay Queensland 2010.

The Triathlon Australia NTID Super Sprint Race Weekend wrapped up on December 19th. The event doubled as the first round of the 2011 Australian ITU Junior Championships Series, and was a huge success despite the testing weather conditions on the Gold Coast. Storms and lightening did little to deter the outstanding performances and determined attitude of the Junior ITU athletes, who were out to impress the TA selection staff, coaches and spectators.

Spanning over three days, the event saw seventy five (75) of Australians finest young athletes from all around Australia come together at the Runaway Bay Sport and Leadership Excellence Center to compete in a grueling race format that has been purposely designed to challenge the athletes, testing them in a high intensity, high pressure environment.

The weekend's seven events included pool swimming races, an 8km Crit cycle race, a 1km track running race, an Aquathlon, and three short Triathlons of varying distances. Each athlete collected points over the weekend depending on their finish position in each race, which resulted in a seeded position in Sunday mornings Grand Final Triathlon.

SXT had four athletes attend the weekend Zoe Osborn and Georgie Connor representing our girls and Nick Brown and Ben Huggett for the Boys.

All four found the racing in the tough conditions trying over the three days , Zoe the junior of the squad and in her first ITU Junior event coped with the stress of multiply competition and managed to get through the weekend with some good results especially in the swim and bike .

Georgie Connor who has shown improvement since joining the squad this season never looked back as she excelled in all the race formats over the weekend of racing .Georgie finished 7th female in the overall standings and the highest ranked Victorian girl .

In the boys, Ben and Nick had mixed results as the boys finished mid field . The different range of events from individual time trials to sprint triathlons saw some of the fastest times seen in the super sprint weekend format . With points rather than individual times separating the athletes saw some fantastic racing which really bought to a head the individuals strengths and weakness.

The weekend of racing and the following National development camp was a great success and credit to Triathlon Australia and the T/A high performance team for their organization .

The next race of the National ITU Junior series will take place in Davenport Tasmania on January 16 .

A big thanks to James Meadon and BRIMARCO , our major supporter, your support in bringing our team to such events so much contributes to the further development of our juniors in the high performance world of triathlon . Thanks James ,

The tri series races also doubles as a school qualifier for VSSSA kids wanting to to make the Vic team to race in Redclife Queensland in March 2011.

Zoe Osborn had a great swim bike combination to bring her home in second position, while Fraser Walsh had his usual bike run to come in fourth .The junior of our squad Dylan Bilston, had a top ten finish a great result for his first year in triathlon . in the women's Elite div, Melissa Burgoyne took the no 1 spot when wheels clipped in the front of the bike pack brining down the entire group , Melissa losing some skin and nursing some bruises limped home and straight to the medical tent . The ever improving Georgie Connor narrowly missed no 1 spot in the junior elite div ,watch out for Georgie in the coming races . The Men's elite field was just as good with Ben Huggett and Nick Brown both having top ten finishes.

The SXT squad will now head to Elwood for the Gatorade race on Sunday 12 while the junior ITU squad get ready for race 1 of the Australian National junior races in runaway Bay Queensland .more info soon .

Again a special thanks to Brimarco, adidas eyewear, and the rest of our sponsors for your continued support .

Cheers Dave

Gatorade Series Race 1 StKilda.
Overcast conditions greeted the SXT group early on Sunday 21st November when they assembled at St Kilda beach for Race 1 of the Gatorade Series. However, later in the morning conditions had improved and by the finish of the race leg the weather was perfect with just a slight breeze cooling the runners. Overall, the results achieved were top class with many individuals shining on what was a great morning’s competition for the group.

Now for the individual performances! The young Huggett brothers excelled with Jamie coming in second in the elite category. Brother Ben missed the pack slightly on the bike leg but made up for lost time and stormed home in the run in the ITU junior. Nick Brown also performed well finishing in the top ten in the same division. In the elite boys, Josh Dew and Stewy Walpole had performances to be proud of with both boys just finishing outside the top ten. Not to be outdone the girls in the SXT group put their best feet forward- as well as their swimming and bike riding skills. Melissa Burgoyne finished 4th in the elite and Zoe Osborn came a creditable 5th in the ITU junior division which were great results for their first races in these categories. Georgie Connor swam brilliantly and maintained this level on the bike and in the run to finish 3rd in the ITU junior division. Great effort girls!!

In the 15-19 age group, Fraser Walsh lost a little ground in the swim section but made up time with a fantastic bike leg and a powerful run to finish his race. In the 25-29 age group, the Ballarat boys came in 4th and 5th with Gav Webber just tipping out Jarrod Boyd.

The SXT group was well represented in the 35-39 male category with Nic Valpied having a great race to finish just outside the top ten. Rob Smart and Brad Slade fought out a do-or-die tussle between themselves with Brad just outlasting Rob to finish less than a second in front of him. Great race guys!

Let’s be frank about Dave Huggett! He swam like a dead fish but managed to power down on the bike and run and take out 6th place in 45-49 age group. Well done Dave!! And let’s hope that aerodynamic hair style of yours will help you cut through the water a little faster next time. ?, ":Dave", but at least i pumped up my tyres LOL !!!

One element of triathlons is to have competitors who are fit and highly motivated but the other key factor is to have gear that lets you achieve your potential. The SXT group is fortunate to have fantastic sponsors. Special thanks to our supporting sponsor BRIMARCO and a special thanks to Anth , Dave and the team at CBD Cycles for their on the day bike support and suplying race wheels for the day, without which we would not have achieved Sunday’s great results. Special mention to adidas eyewear for the top of the line sunnies Hocking Stuart, RGS insurance and Fuwa K Hitch for their support.

Cheers Mel B
