Worlds tallest midget ( That’s what my brother tells me ) Ben Huggett comes from a whole family of triathletes, and although he lives in his brother Jamie Huggett’s shadow, the 191cm triathlete is slowly making a name for himself on the triathlon scene. During the 2006 / 07 season he was awarded 12 / 13 year old boys Triathlon Victoria Champion of the year. He was also State 12 / 13 year old boy’s schools champion. Then he was selected to represent Victoria in Canberra in the VSSSA Triathlon team, where he came in 7th and 2nd in the relay bike leg. He was also awarded a scholarship from the Ballarat Sports Foundation. In 2007 he became a member of the Triathlon Victoria Development Squad and he has been on several camps and trained hard over winter, improving all the time. The Sportsmen’s Association of Australia presented him with a junior sportsmen’s award at the end of 2007 for his achievements in triathlon. 2008 / 09 will be a big year for Ben as he steps up to race in the ITU junior elite category. Ben has made significant improvements this year and should be right up there in the mix
